Reading Journal I - The Communist Manifesto

November 15, 2021

Hello! I read “The Communist Manifesto” by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels, published în 1848.

The manifesto was the basis of the modern communist movement as we know it. In the manifesto, the two authors talk about how capitalism will inevitably destroy itself, will be replaced with socialism and, in the long run, will become communism.

When it comes to the manifesto, I was interested in learning and sharing with you the main communist ideas which intend to equalize class relations, to put an end to modern slavery and to regulate labor relationships and the rights of laborers and employees – this is the basis for the emancipation of women and them achieving equal rights.

The emancipation of women partly thanks to the ideas included in the communist manifesto is one of the topics of the book, explored in a series of 15 new videos about feminism, within our new project, EGALIS.
